Nightshade Song; and yes, Half my ponies are music based in one form or another, accept Nightshade here, he plays instruments more than sings, but not quite all that often, he's more the Nightlife kind of a unicorn. which is Probably why Rarity likes him so much ((oops, gave away a huge spoiler, just kidding))
in point of fact alot of the ponies in Ponyville were afraid of him for a while because he's the only pony that stays up late in the night to admire the beauty of Princess Luna's Night time magic. so in that sense i suppose you thought I was going to land him with Luna, sorry No, I like Rarity, and also his Character, while a Night time Pony he doesn't stay up from sunset to Sunrise, just long enough to admire Luna's night time beauty, then goes to sleep like all the other ponies.
It wasn't until Rarity's undying generosity helped to break the ice with the other ponies and Nightshade that everypony started warming up to him. on a Rainy night Rarity offered him a room in her home to keep dry. and shows he's actually not some DARK pony, he just stays up late.
At the Gala Nightshade was ready to sweep Rarity off her hooves and save her from Prince Blue Blood, but then the catastrophe that threw the Gala into Chaos happened. but met up with her after the Gala and shared a dance with her in the donut shop.

His cutie Mark was a challenge, I original drew a Harp with a Moon but it kind of clashed with the theme i have for my Music Based Ponies, so I went with a Single Music note, a Moon and a Star as his cutie Mark. As for his special Gift as a Unicorn, of course he uses magic being a Unicorn, his gift is in Writing Music, playing Instruments of all kinds, and Stage Illusions for performances like Rarity can for her Modelling shows, but he does this for Concerts rather than Modelling, though rarity does ask him for pointers now and again
Next Up: Starlight, the second Pony along with Truly that isn't music based
