Gotta be Somebody

2 thoughts were running through my head while i was drawing the rough of this, when i finished it and got it in Photoshop it turned out like this

First Thought: I know for a fact that at one point, Lobo hit a Slump, got depressed and started drinking and eating himself into being a typical guy in a rut with a big fat beer belly an unshaven face and a poor me Attitude. When i learned of this I was thinking to meself, "what the fuck could have happened to Lobo that could have had him end up like this?" Usually guys on earth that are like that have either hit a rut or are mourning the loss of some one dear to them or are just plain damned bored

Knowing that I went by process of elimination from most likely to highly unlikely; Most likely he'd be mourning someone or something dear to him, Unlikely he'd be bored, the rut is in between them, only cuz it also ties in with being bored. Yumiko isn't going to die, that's not who he's mourning, what would most likely happen is either he learns from some outside source that all the space dolphins were wiped out, or his Hog gets blown to smithereens

I did a vote out of the two, and i Picked his hog getting destroyed, that has nothing to o with the faded images of Lobo and Yumiko in the corners though, i'll get to them later. For now, why his hog looks slightly different from say the comics and the Superman and Justice league Series, is cuz it's a gift from Yumiko. You see during one of Lobo's most recent Hunts Yumiko decided to go with him this time; Sometimes Lobo asks her to stay behind cuz it could get rough even for Lobo, and needed her to stay behind so he wouldn't be concerned with her getting caught in the middle. Well this time Yumiko insisted on going with him Lobo agreed anyway with little argument, figuring her Archery skills would come in handy anyway.

They did, he had an upper hand on his Mark, one problem though, this one had friends and launched Missiles that were equivalent in Damage dealt, as Sabot Rounds that we have here on earth, a form of Magnesium that burns on impact, only instead of leaving a burn, it'd pretty much disintegrate whatever the Round hit, this included especially living beings, and could possibly have the capacity to kill even a woman as powerful as Yumiko. But in his sole. singular and only act of heroism and self sacrifice, he calls his Bike which flies behind Yumiko and takes the round, blowing up and being destroyed. Yumiko kills the snipers and helps Lobo with turning in them all including his original mark which earns him extra money than the original bounty ((Which for the sake of a figure I'll say 50,000,000 credits x2 )) Yumiko got a room at a pretty good Hotel for them to sleep in, wondering what to do, she asked Lobo, but he didn't answer.

Well that was it for her, She knew he was upset at the Hog being destroyed, while she also knew he was relieved Yumiko was alive, he was going to miss it. So Yumiko using what was left went back out to where the fight was gathered up what was left of the original Hog, and started working in the hotel Garage where they fix up their Shuttles and "Taxis" for driving guests out to and back from different attractions and such that were on the planet, paying the mechanic for however long it would take her to finish. Lobo's only other friends, the owners of a Bar he used to go to often when he was within that Galaxy, visited him worried about him, wondering if he'd genuinely been killed this time, though seeing him slumped over in a Chair covered in beer cans, crumbs and having a haggered unshaven i think they would have preferred to hear he was dead, cuz the only reason to see him like this is if he got shit-faced during a party, but in that scenario he's usually his normal self the next day, just hung over

Yumiko walks in after an hour of Lobo telling them what happened, and says she has a gift for her Czarnian Boyfriend, thinking one thing Lobo says he isn't in the mood, so Yumiko Picks him up and pitches him out of the window from 2 stories high in the air from their room. Landing right in front of the garage, Yumiko jumps but lands a little more gently than Lobo did ((As in Not face planting in the ground from a 2 story fall)) obviously not dead he stands up like he'd just tripped and brushed Concrete off his Jacket, "What's your Surprise Anyway babe?" Yumiko hits a button on a remote and opens the Garage door revealing his new and Restored SpaceFrag 666 v.2

As you can Imagine, Lobo was.......................well, Happy doesn't cover it, Elated doesn't even Cover it, lets just say that everytime he gets the chance and sees Yumiko in the room, he Jumps her since she gave him his new ride. Yumiko Managed to Salvage what she could of the original Spacefrag, restored all of the front half, most of the middle half, the engine though wasn't salvageable so she had to get new ones, the ones she found were a little too big so she remodeled the Hog to fit them, didn't take alot though, the Skull that decorated the nose was still in tact, remarkably, but Yumiko decided to mount another one on the top covering the middle of the Handle Bars(( it also happens to have concealed Auto-pulse Guns inside them XP))

So now Lobo has an Awesome Ride, and an Awesome woman, and he can get back to bounty hunting, nothing else changed for the most part between them, accept Lobo's slightly more affectionate towards Yumiko, nothing mushy or out of Lobo's character, just a little more so than he was before. By that i actually mean instead of letting her ride from the back all the time, now he insists Yumiko ride in his Lap

Concerning the fade out pics of them, has to do with my second thought and the idea behind the pic in General, while listening to my iTunes when i was finishing the pic in Photoshop; My playlist came to Gotta Be Somebody by Nickelback. and when the chorus played as thus:

I immediately thought of a bunch of other Anti-heroes, Lobo Included, cuz even though he is the Ultimate Badass, The Main Man, The 'Bo, Master Frag, Mister Machete, Popebo, The Thrash; He-Who-Devours-Your-Entrails-And-Thoroughly-Enjoys-It; we all know that even guys like Lobo don't like being entirely, completely, utterly and totally alone, guys like Lobo tend to hide it behind womanizing ((UH-OH!! THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HE DOES!!!! 8D)) Enter Yumiko in his life, this song and what have we here, the pic that I have up for your enjoyment ^_^ The song ties to the two faded pics of Lobo and Yumiko in the corners there, like how most Fans associate "somewhere Out there" with vegeta and Bulma ((Can't understand why)) I associate this Song with Lobo when the subject comes up, and Yumiko happens to think the same way, Like: There's no reason for you to be the only one in the Universe, there has to be someone out there for you to love.

on a Minor note: The reason Yumiko's right hand looks the way it does is cuz when she's in deep thought she has a habit of picking at her nails with her Thumb nail, clicking them while doing it. Just saying so there's no misunderstanding and anyone seeing this thinks she's supposed to be holding something and i forgot to draw it. Nope, she's just picking at her Nails

Now that I've finished Rambling, the real reason, I just wanted to get some Practice in Perspective, proportions and mecha-drawing, cuz i thoroughly suck at it, and i still do, not sure if i can do better than this, maybe i can, if I'm held at gun point I obviously need more practice on body work, when someone's sitting on the bike instead of standing with it stopped like how i Have Sonja with Prowl. But everything else i liked, obviously i didn't draw the faded Lobo, I did that cuz i don't think i could make Lobo look thoughtful and not out of character, instead i cut it from one of the eps he's featured in from "superman: The animated Series; The Main Man part 2"
